How does this role fit into the success of our organization?
This position is partnered with corporate and plant teams to support all of our Mills in North America. The role reports to the Senior Manager of Technology and Continuous Improvement and collaborates with Plant Managers and Quality teams.
This role will require travel to various mills in the U.S, Canada, and Latin America. This is a hybrid role – three days on site and two days to work from home.

Some responsibilities include:
- Support mill quality programs to ensure Arauco’s business principle of producing quality products through the pursuit of operational excellence and by focusing on the needs of the customer and other stakeholders.
- Lead development and execution of Arauco quality program and formaldehyde compliance program.
- Demonstrate leadership in safety, quality, customer satisfaction and promote a positive image of Arauco when visiting mill sites and customers.
- Promote strong relationships between Technical Managers, Sales and Customers.
- Focus on Vision of Continuous improvement in all parts of the business. (People, Costs, Production, Safety, Environment, Quality, Image, Customer Satisfaction)
- Ensure there is a focus on the key metrics that drive quality and emission compliance results.
- Overall responsibility for communication regarding quality through the organization.
- Support succession planning and personnel development.
- Link between mill to corporate, including the communication of quality performance and formaldehyde compliance and reporting.
What are we looking for?
- Knowledgeable
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Basic knowledge of wood production and financial reporting
- Experienced
- Minimum of 5 years of quality compliance experience in a manufacturing setting required
- Experience with SAP, Qliksense, and Excel preferred
- Broad understanding of mill operations, product engineering, end use applications and product regulatory requirements.
- Effective
- Ability to Effectively communicate and inspire others to do their best.
