PRIMARY PURPOSE:

Increase Maintenance Productivity through planning, scheduling, and coordination of resources.

description of Essential duties:

  • Be a resource for the Maintenance Supervisors to increase craft productivity
  • Be the site specialist in the SAP system
  • Maintain the work order/ work request system in SAP
  • Enter purchase requisitions in SAP using the Work Order system
  • Create and maintain an accurate equipment history in SAP using the Work Order system
  • Improve area equipment reliability and optimize resources.
  • Develop accurate down day & shutdown schedules for your area
  • Provide a weekly list of available planned work for each supervisor to schedule
  • Be knowledgeable and manage your Area work order backlog
  • Interface with Area Maintenance Technicians and Operators  to get the right down day & daily work scheduled
  • Plan and coordinate projects and process improvements in your Area
  • Check the ‘Malvern Action Log’ daily and work with the Maintenance Supervisors to get items in your Area resolved
  • Create and maintain the drawings, prints, manuals, etc for the department.
  • Enter appropriate work requests for required follow-up work.
  • Participate in area project work and lead projects when necessary.
  • Attend/Participate in maintenance crew meetings and other group functional meetings/training.
  • Lead for “Job Specific Contact” for contractors (as required).

  • Wear proper PPE at all times as required
  • Be lock-out certified for the area
  • Ensure control room/area remains neat and clean
  • Be aware of all personnel working in the area
  • Ensure ARAUCO exercises responsible environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.
  • Complete LASER for any upset condition or procedure
  • Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime
  • Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program
  • Report all safety incidents (including near misses)
  • Know location of all fire equipment and how to use it

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required
  • Minimum 2 years experience working in a manufacturing facility required
  • Verifiable computer skills including MS Excel and MS Project required
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a role requiring planning and organizational skills preferred
  • Experience working in a Maintenance Management System preferred
  • Strong written and communication skills required (must be verifiable)
