Join our team as a Shipping Technician and begin your career earning $21.25 per hour.

 

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience required (within the past 5 years)
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and through e‑mail
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Strong computer skills preferred; working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is an asset
  • Willingness and ability to work a rotating shift (days, afternoons, and nights) as needed

In this role, you would:

  • Put safety first by watching out for your own safety and the safety of others, wearing required PPE, and following all safety policies and procedures
  • Support Arauco’s commitment to environmental stewardship across all operations
  • Work toward becoming a capable team member who can effectively manage routine operational tasks
  • Complete required paperwork and electronic entries accurately
  • Actively participate in problem‑solving discussions and contribute to process improvement
  • Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • Load all types of trucks, railcars, boxcars, and preloads according to order specifications
  • Inspect every load to ensure quality standards are met
  • Assist with checking in trucks and communicating loading procedures
  • Help answer shipping phone calls and support callers as needed
  • Keep the loading area and truck warehouse clean and organized
  • Maintain and clean the forklift, ensuring inspections are completed
  • Diagram boxcars, inspect for damage, and maintain the railroad logbook
  • Actively participate in daily problem‑solving meetings and contribute positively to continuous improvement
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and through e‑mail
  • Understand proper load weights for trucks and ensure correct load placement
  • Identify quality issues and respond appropriately
  • Maintain a valid forklift certification

 

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
  • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
  • Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.
