How does this role fit into the success of our organization?

The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for carrying out the process of planning the supply needs based on MRP parameters and direct user requirements, to be developed efficiently and effectively. The primary focus of the role is to work with cross functional departments for the development of common initiatives that reduce working capital through efficient forecasting of MRO parts, supplies needs, consolidating command, and ensuring supply to our facilities.

 

This individual will:

 

  • Carry out planning and forecast of demand (utilizing different model such as EOQ, Safety stock and others)
  • Manage workflow requests of Material creations, extensions, and modifications.
  • Maintain Material Master (Part creations and Parameter updates).
  • Develop and implement strategies by actively working with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor the internal performance of expense categories.
  • Implement improvements in productivity throughout experience expense categories.
  • Drive best practices and integrate procurement into core business processes.
  • Provide inputs for Arauco’s purchasing strategies.
  • Enforce internal and external policies, regulations, and laws.
  • Ensure supply throughout our facilities.
  • Reduce working capital by efficiently estimating supply needs and consolidating demand.
  • Create and monitor network inventory plans using maintenance and production feedback from all NA mills to ensure material availability to enhance customer service.
  • Establish best practices for supply planning Arauco NA.
  • Implement new processes and procedures where needed and ensure adherence to inventory and supply plans.
  • Analyze parameter to place for automatic reordering.
  • Develop and implement strategies that allow teamwork with key managers in the areas of Maintenance and Operations.
  • Promote best practices detected for the area.
  • Research industry developments and new planning techniques.

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Knowledgeable 
    • Bachelor’s Degree (Preferably in Industrial Engineering or Supply Chain)

 

  • Experienced 
    • 3-5 years of experience in an Analyst role
    • Purchasing / supply chain inventory & planning experience preferred.
    • High proficiency Microsoft Excel skills (data analytics)
    • Moderate experience in SAP
    • Knowledge of materials management and supply chain functions preferred.

 

  • Effective 
    • Strong analytical skills with a high capacity to synthesize complex or diverse information.
    • Strong mathematics and statistical acumen.
    • Self-motivator with proven ability to challenge the status quo, prioritize and execute activities independently and proactively anticipate potential problems.
    • Flexibility to effectively adjust to current procedures / processess and adapt quickly to new ones.
    • Ability to negotiate, persuade, and explore alternatives to reach outcomes that will gain acceptance of all parties and meet the organizations strategic procurement objectives.
    • Ability to travel 30% of the year.
