  • Effectively address maintenance issues and disturbances while aiming to enhance mill reliability.
  • Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintain SAP entries and keep them current at the end of each shift.
  • Investigate the root cause of equipment failure and make recommendations for long term fix.
  • Complete assigned work orders or other PM/PdM activities as assigned and return completed paperwork.

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledgeable
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Oregon Electrican’s license (LMPJ preferred).
  • Experienced
    • 3 years AC & DC motor control experience (including drives) required.
    • 3 years electrical troubleshooting experience required.
    • Ability to use standard test and troubleshooting equipment (DMM,VOM, Megger, etc).
    • Ability to troubleshoot with PLC’s (Allen Bradley control logix).
    • Strong industrial mechanical millwright experience/skills preferred. Must be willing to perform millwright duties as part of their regular job duties.
    • Ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts as required.
    • Familiarity with the basic functions of a CMMS system preferred.
  • Effective
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Ability to work at heights.
    • Proven ability to be a self-motivated and a self-starter.
    • Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift as required.
  • Collaborative
    • Collaboration is key to Arauco’s success. This role requires collaboration with our Area Operator and Coordinator teams to be successful. Communicating maintenance issues to Operators, Supervisors, Planners, and peers directly or via email, and collaborating with other crafts & operators to enhance uptime reliability.
