General Responsibilities for all Arauco employees:
- Employees are expected to put safety first. This means watching out for your safety and those around you. Wearing appropriate PPE and following all safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure Arauco exercises responsibility for environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.
- It is important you have reliable means of getting to work and getting here on time.
- Work to become a “capable” team member. Capable is defined as the ability to handle routine daily operational tasks.
- Respond to upset conditions and work closely with any and all team members to address problems.
- Communicate with team members about production line activities, any upset conditions experienced, and follow up on the resolution.
- Properly complete product changes and productively operate the equipment.
- Create maintenance requests for equipment problems in a timely manner and follow-up as needed to ensure work is completed.
- Actively participate in any problem-solving meetings and contribute to improving processes.
- Complete paperwork and electronic entries as necessary.
- Expected to work towards a “competent” operating level. This is an elevated level of competency whereby the operator has a more intimate understanding of the equipment to troubleshoot and problem-solve more complex issues.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be 18 years or older
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds
- You must be willing and able to be certified to safely operate a forklift or other mobile equipment in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to work in a variety of environments including but not limited to: dusty (wood dust), hot, cold, or wet.
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Post offer you must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and physical capability assessment.
Pay and Benefits:
- The entry-level wage is $20.60 with an additional $2.00 wage increase for the night shift.
