How does this role fit into the success of our organization?
- Perform skilled-level electrical work in the installation, alteration, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade.
- Acts as a "standby" electrician for responding to emergency calls after normal working hours.
- Respond to mill breakdowns in a timely and efficient manner.
- Install, alter, maintain, and repair electrical wiring systems and equipment, both high and low voltage (i.e., wall electrical outlets, traffic signal systems, air distribution systems, pumps, transformers, motors, and appliances).
- Installs and maintains motors of several hundred horsepower, coils, transformers, MCC’s, Switchgear and control equipment of up to 4,160 volts.
- Install and maintain transformers, substations, and related control equipment (motors, generators, pumps).
- Install, maintain, and repair AC drive and Servo drives.
- Install, maintain and calibrate instrumentation for plant processes.
- Design functional electric circuitry for electrical systems.
- Operate aerial equipment and pneumatic equipment in the installation and repair of electrical equipment.
What are we looking for?
- Knowledgeable
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate’s Degree in Industrial Systems Maintenance or related field preferred.
- Experienced
- Three years AC & DC motor control experience (including drives) required.
- Three years electrical troubleshooting experience required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, mechanical drive systems, pump and valve systems, PLC and ladder logic, schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Familiarity of the basic functions of a CMMS system preferred.

- Strong written and communication skills
- Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift as required
- Ability to work at heights, in hot, noisy & dirty environments
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. required
- Proven ability to be a self-motivated and a self-starter r
- Collaborative
- Collaboration is key to Arauco’s success. This role requires collaboration with our Operators, Supervisors, and Planners to be successful.

Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.

Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.

Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.

Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.

Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
