PRIMARY PURPOSE:
|
|
Provide storeroom support to Operations, Maintenance, and Finance to ensure that all required materials are available when needed.
|
Description of Essential Duties:
|
- Maintain the security, cleanliness and organization of the storeroom at all times
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing UPS shipments
- Daily receipt of storeroom and non-stock items in accordance with company procedures
- Gather and label received items that are associated with work orders and put in work order area
- Perform / monitor all storeroom transactions
- Run daily, monthly, and other reports as required
- Pickup and deliver parts to off-site locations as needed
- Pickup and delivery of parts to various intra-mill locations as required
- Set up new item locations in the CMMS (computerized maintenance management system)
- Perform cycle counts according to the established schedule for all storeroom items
- Strive for best value for the business in all goods, services, and transportation transactions
- Support accounting month-end preparation and reporting tasks as they relate to the area
- Responsible for the movement of company assets and surplus goods on and off site
- Provide training to others on the use of various aspects of the CMMS as required
- Covers extended or irregular hours as required to support Down-days, shutdowns, breakdowns, etc.
- Participate in the development and documentation of area procedures (SOP’s) to increase the efficiencies and effectiveness of the Purchasing/Stores area
- Responsible for MSDS and HAZMAT requirements as they pertain to this role
- Participate in the development of safety SOP’s for this area
- Coordinate projects and process improvements in your area
- Resolve any safety issues identified in storeroom
- Support the maintenance workforce to respond to breakdowns or mill upset conditions (as required)
- Support mill safety programs (Laser, confined space, Hot works, etc.) identified to maintain a high level of safety awareness in the mill
- Follow the Arauco Safety Philosophy by participating in the LASER process and completing assigned housekeeping tasks
- Own the MRP process of preparing rebuy for stocked storeroom items
- Provide administrative support concerning related area as needed

Key Safety/Housekeeping Reponsibilities:
|
- Wear proper PPE at all times as required
- Be lock-out certified for the area
- Ensure control room/area remains neat and clean
- Be aware of all personnel working in the area
- Ensure Arauco exercises responsible environmental stewardship in all areas of our business.
- Complete LASER for any upset condition or procedure
- Perform housekeeping regularly and during downtime
- Actively participate and positively contribute to the safety program
- Report all safety incidents (including near misses)

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
|
- Good communications skills both verbal and written
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Materials Storeroom experience preferred
- Forklift certified or ability to become certified, required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows required
- Be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Familiarity of the basic functions of computerized maintenance management systems preferred
- Must work well with other employees, supervisors and managers
- Willingness to work flexible schedule and overtime when required
