This role will start on a 7am-3:30pm M-F schedule and will transition to a rotating shift after training.
What we are looking for:
- Valid Journeyman Electrician License issued by the State of Michigan or the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL)
- 3+ years of industrial electrician experience
- Process control experience in an industrial setting is a plus
- Minimum three years of AC & DC motor control experience, including drives
- Familiarity with CMMS systems preferred
- Skilled in using electrical troubleshooting tools and techniques (e.g., meg a motor)
- Experience with capital equipment installation and major equipment shutdowns is an asset
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and a focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to identify opportunities for efficiency and equipment uptime optimization
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Capable of developing and implementing preventive maintenance work orders
- Willingness to work extended hours and rotating shifts as needed
- Comfortable working at heights in a manufacturing environment

In this role, you would:
- Respond safely and efficiently to maintenance issues, breakdowns, and troubleshooting needs
- Collaborate with operators to resolve maintenance concerns and ensure mill reliability
- Investigate root causes of equipment failures and recommend long-term solutions
- Assist in developing preventive maintenance programs
- Document all maintenance activities and lead troubleshooting efforts
- Communicate downtime events and maintenance updates during meetings
- Complete assigned work orders and preventive tasks promptly
- Recommend improvements for troubleshooting resources, tools, and spare parts
- Stay informed about maintenance issues across the mill and work closely with planners
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
- Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 70 pounds
- Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
- Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures.
