What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in ESH, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 year's industrial experience in an environmental leadership role
  • Strong background in Title V air permit management
  • Familiarity with wastewater and stormwater MI State regulations is beneficial
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills 
  • Strong proficiency in all Microsoft Office suite of products

In this role, you will:

  • Manage Title V Air Permit subject to Plywood and Composite Wood Products MACT, Boiler MACT, and Prevention of Significant Deterioration (PSD)
  • Maintain excellent relationship with State, Federal, and Local regulators.
  • Manage stormwater permits, site BMPs, Non-Discharge Spray Irrigation permit and monitoring.
  • Manage environmental records including preparation and submission of all regulatory reports.
  • Stay up to date with changes in State and Federal Air and Water regulations. 
  • Manage site solid waste, hazwaste, and radiation storage locations.  
  • Ensure appropriate radiation/X-ray protocols maintained on site.
  • Conduct stack testing and other compliance activities as required by air permit.
  • Supervise daily activities of onsite Wastewater-Environmental Technician/EHS Management System Administrator
  • Act as site resource for environmental impacts of projects and manufacturing activities.
  • Participate in corporate environmental auditing program, as well as companywide EHS goals and objectives.
