What We’re Looking for:

  • Associate degree in business or equivalent experience is preferred
  • 2+ years of work experience in a manufacturing accounting role preferred
  • Experience with any ERP/MRP (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.) preferred – SAP is currently used
  • Knowledge of G/L accounts and cost center concept
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • High attention to detail with research, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to establish positive working relationships and work with multiple departments effectively
  • Ability to work flexible hours when required (typically during month-end closing)
  • Ability to quickly respond to changing needs

 In this Role, You Will:

  • Daily auditing and processing of wood tickets
  • Daily, weekly, and monthly reporting for wood payments
  • Prepare remittances for wood suppliers weekly
  • Project tracking and support for mill capital projects to support the Finance Manager in capitalization and disposal of assets
  • Support month-end closing activities
  • Prepare journal entries related to month-end closing
  • Prepare month-end closing reports
  • External and internal audit support for the mill
  • Identify process improvement opportunities as it relates to ensure timely vendor payment processing along with month-end closing processes
  • Other general accounting duties as needed
  • Operations support during month down days and annual outages
  • Work with multiple departments on various issues to come to a solution together
