How does this role fit into the success of our organization?

  • A Shipping Technician is an essential part of the shipping and receiving department, providing support and assistance in various shipping-related tasks.
  • Shipping Technicians are responsible for safely and efficiently locating and loading product on trucks per customer orders.
  • Inspect every load for quality
  • Scan tickets of units being loaded and verify contents of load against the tickets.
  • Assist with answering the shipping phone and helping callers.
  • Actively participate in any problem-solving meetings and positively contribute to improving the process on a daily basis.
  • Ability to identify quality issues and react to them accordingly.
  • Maintain forklift certification.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the loading area (van dock and around pump), truck warehouse, car tracks, and truck parking.

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledgeable
    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Experienced
    • Forklift experience required.
  • Effective
    • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with office software for data entry and documentation.
    • Attention to detail and a commitment to ensuring accurate and efficient shipping processes.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to changing shipping demands and priorities.
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. as required.
  • Collaborative
    • Collaboration is key to Arauco’s success. This role requires collaboration with our internal teams to be successful.
  • Physical Requirements 

    • Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery. 

    • Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment. 

    • Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds. 

    • Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects. 

    • Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
