This role is an 8 hour day shift position with on-call rotation.

- Mechanical and Electrical Aptitude: Strong troubleshooting skills across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to diagnose equipment issues and support safe, efficient repairs.
- Equipment Maintenance: Experience performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on industrial equipment and machinery. Ability to identify potential issues before they impact production.
- Problem Solving: Ability to analyze equipment performance, identify root causes of failures, and assist in implementing long-term solutions that improve reliability.
- Safety Focus: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment by following established safety procedures, lockout/tagout practices, and company policies.
- Quality Mindset: Ability to recognize equipment conditions that may impact product quality and work proactively to maintain consistent production standards.
- Team Collaboration: Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to work closely with operators, maintenance personnel, planners, and supervisors to resolve issues and improve operations.
- Organization and Documentation: Ability to accurately document maintenance work, equipment issues, and completed repairs within maintenance systems and logs.
- Continuous Learning: Willingness to continue developing technical skills through training, certifications, and hands-on experience in an evolving industrial environment.

In this role, you will:
- Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical systems across mill equipment to support safe and reliable production.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns in a timely manner and work closely with operators to diagnose and resolve maintenance-related issues.
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on motors, drives, pumps, conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and other mill equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems including motors, control circuits, sensors, and instrumentation, working to minimize downtime and restore equipment safely.
- Document maintenance activities and equipment issues through SAP notifications, maintenance logs, and work order completion.
- Investigate equipment failures and assist in identifying root causes and long-term corrective solutions to improve reliability.
- Maintain ownership of assigned mill areas, understanding downtime trends, safety concerns, and quality issues within the area.
- Work collaboratively with area operators, planners, and maintenance teams to prioritize and complete daily work schedules.
- Support maintenance planning by reviewing action logs and coordinating repair work with the area planner.
- Participate in maintenance crew meetings, safety meetings, and technical training to support continuous improvement and skill development.
- Support reliability initiatives such as Area Management, Planning & Scheduling, and Asset Reliability processes as they are implemented across the mill.
- Communicate effectively with operations and fellow technicians regarding equipment status, repairs completed, and operational changes during each shift.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to move freely throughout the facility, including climbing stairs and ladders, and navigating around equipment and machinery.
- Ability to bend, stoop, and crouch as necessary to inspect and maintain equipment.
- Capability to lift and carry materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to perform physical tasks that involve lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying heavy objects.
- Endurance to stand and walk for extended periods, often in environments with dust, chemicals, high noise levels and varying temperatures
