  • Safely respond to maintenance issues including breakdowns and troubleshooting.
  • Complete follow-up tasks from the previous shift and conduct shift rounds.
  • Execute operating work orders and support operations during upset conditions to ensure high mill reliability.
  • Maintain lockout certifications as assigned.
  • Responsible for being aware of maintenance issues throughout the mill or assigned area (log books, interaction with operators).
  • Supports and promotes the ARAUCO Asset Reliability Process (ARP).
  • Responsible for being aware of maintenance issues throughout the mill or assigned area (log books, interaction with operators).
  • Enter appropriate work requests for required follow-up work in SAP.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Knowledgeable
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Certified millwright or equivalent in the Mechanical field required
  • Experienced
    • 3+ years industrial mechanic experience required (including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, gearboxes).
    • Welding and Fabrication skills.
    • Experience in reliability techniques & knowledge of lubrication principles.
    • Strong, demonstrated troubleshooting skills.
    • Ability to use a variety of mechanical troubleshooting equipment and techniques (ie. laser alignment).
  • Effective
    • Responsible for taking your safety and the safety of your co-workers as the
    • Ability to understand, develop and implement work order PM’s.
    • Ability to work extended hours and rotating shift as required.
    • Ability to work at heights in a manufacturing environment required.
    • Self-motivated and strong organizational skills
  • Collaborative
    • Collaboration is key to Arauco’s success. This role requires collaboration with our teams Planners to be successful. Will also continuously communicate during shift rounds to stay up to date on needs.
